Hand trowels are used for cultivating small areas, getting rid of larger stones, breaking up small areas of hard or compacted soil, digging up smallish plants either for replanting, sharing with friends or composting. They also help incorporate lime where soil needs to be less acidic as Brassica (the cabbage family) including wallflowers, are going, digging small holes for planting etc.
This trowel is part of the ‘Space 2049 Range’. The Space 2049 Range takes its inspiration from the latest (Colour) photographs sent from Space to Earth from the Hubble Telescope.
It is actually two coloured resins that have been allowed to mix, Blue and Silver. The wood in is Oak which was part of a 300 year old barn. From the ancient to the Modern in one trowel handle.
How remarkably exciting is that to tend the garden with?
