The 3 pronged cultivator is good for a number of uses, both in the garden and allotment.

It is primarily used as a soil cultivator, helping to get rid of leaf and root debris whilst aerating the soil and helping produce a fine tilth ready for planting.

The handle is crafted from Brown Oak, which goes under the same name as our native oak Quercus robur but has become victim to a fungal pathogen that, amongst other things makes the wood become darker.

The handle has been crafted to our own dimensions so it should be comfortable and safe to use. it has also been sanded to smoth and treated Danish oil to bring out the grain with a wood wax finish to further protect it.

The 3 pronged cultivator is good for a number of uses, both in the garden and allotment.

It is primarily used as a soil cultivator, helping to get rid of leaf and root debris whilst aerating the soil and helping to produce a fine tilth.

The toolhead has been forged from a defunct potato harvester which Nige rescued before it went the scrapyard.

The handle is crafted from Brown Oak, which goes under the same name as our native oak Quercus robur but has become victim to a fungal pathogen that, amongst other things makes the wood become darker. It also makes it more porous so it becomes unable to survive in wet conditions. The wood here came from a farm in Honiton, East Devon, where it lived happily until the bad weather in 2020 whereupon the trunk collapsed. Luckily (for us), once the timber dries out, the wood is perfectly usable and safe.

The handle has been crafted to our own dimensions so it should be comfortable and safe to use. it has also been sanded to smoth and treated Danish oil to bring out the grain with a wood wax finish to further protect it.
