Hand forks are used for light – moderate weeding, removing small-medium stones, old labels and other plastic, rootballs and leaves. They also help to keep the soil aerated as well as mixing in fertiliser or mulch prior, sometimes up to a fortnight before planting!
The hand fork itself is made from a broken handled but good quality old hand fork that has been cleaned and tidied.
The handle is surprisingly warm and comfortable to use, is made to Our own specifications and is made from green and purple resins, loosely stirred together to form a swirly pattern.
It takes it’s inspiration from the latest detailed, colour photographs from the Hubble Telescope! (The Range name comes from a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Series of a similar name aired in 1975)
